History
Canto del Río is a family-owned ecotourism venture offering lodging and tours, located in Bajo la Paz de Piedades Norte, San Ramón. We occupy and protect part of the sub-basin/micro-basin (upper section) of the La Paz River and develop sustainable ecotourism activities that serve as a driving force for the conservation and restoration of the montane cloud forest, while also providing employment for the local community.
To safeguard and ensure the long-term preservation of a unique and biodiverse natural environment, within which sustainable ecotourism practices enhance our guests' and visitors' experiences of harmonious and responsible interaction. We provide a captivating, safe, and comfortable space that invites both relaxing leisure and meditation, as well as instinctive exploration and discovery.
Mission
To decisively cultivate and promote Canto del Río as a comprehensive concept that models and exemplifies excellence in the region, based on the rational use of existing natural resources. We aim to achieve a strong balance between conservation, the expectations of our generous visitors, and the economic needs of the local workforce. All of this is driven and sustained by a conscious, receptive, and discerning eco-visitor who maximizes and translates their experience.
